Medical Alert - Please Read

An ACES student has recently been diagnosed with an anaphylactic allery to sugar snap peas, peas and lentils. Lentils meaning red, yellow, green and black lentils. Sugar snap peas can be purchased in bulk at Costco and in large bags at local stores and throughout Nova Scotia. The peas are dried to resemble the texture of chips/crackers. All of these products are no longer to be sent with students to school for snacks and lunches and are not to be consumed on school buses. This is in addition to nuts.
Thank you for your cooperation.

PATHS: More Time for Teaching and Learning

View a video (all about PATHS) – very informative:

 PATHS web site:

The PATHS program is grounded in social and emotional learning (SEL). SEL helps children resolve conflicts peacefully, handle emotions positively, empathize, and make responsible decisions. When students learn and use SEL skills, behavior improves and disruptions lessen. Instead of wasting valuable classroom time managing misbehavior and providing discipline, teachers can teach and students can learn.
